What is MAH MCA CET?
MAH MCA CET is known as the Common Entrance Test for MCA that is designed for those students who want to enroll themselves with the MCA course at post-graduation level. It is entrance exam conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra under the supervision of Government of Maharashtra State.

Eligibility Criteria For MAH MCA CET:
The applicant has to meet the following eligibility criteria in order to appear for the examination.
- The candidate should be an Indian National.
- The candidate should have passed the SSC and HSC examination from a recognized institution in the Maharashtra state or should have passed an equivalent examination from a recognized board or the University of India or outside that is recognized by the state government.
- The candidate should have scored at least 45% marks in aggregate and 40% in aggregate, in case of SC and ST.
- Must have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or graduation level.
- There is no upper age limit, so candidate belonging to any age group can apply.
- If the candidate wants to apply for direct 2nd year MCA courses, then he should have passed the Bachelor Degree in Computer Application or Science.
Note: Candidate appearing for the final year examination can also apply, provided he has to produce the certificate of minimum qualifying marks at the time of admission, failing which he will be denied admission.
Scheme of MAH MCA CET Exam:
MAH MCA CET comprises two sections with each of 100 marks. Thus, total marks are calculated out of 200. Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for every correct answer. Negative marking system is applicable in the examination. One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer whereas candidates will not be marked for a non-attempted question.

In order to qualify the written examination, the candidate has to score a minimum of 50% marks (40% in case of SC and ST).
The selection procedure is divided into three stages.
- Written Examination
- Counseling Session
- Admission Procedure
The candidate will have to score the minimum qualifying marks for clearing the written examination. Post clearing the written examination, the qualified candidates will be called for the counseling session. The Centralized Admission Process (CAP) will then be conducted and it will be composed of choice filing and locking, document verification, and confirmation of admission.
